One time I questioned one of my mentors, "What if there are 20 almost identical products for sale, how do you stand out"? On which he replied, "all you gotta do is infuse it with more value"...
 

 

Of course I said, "WHHHATT"?

 

He said, I'll make an example for you.

 

Let's say you have 20 identical probiotics that are listed on Amazon. How do you make one stand out?

 

You can wrap it in a bunch of things that come with it. You can write a book about it. You can make a small 4 video mini-course. You can give them an instruction booklet, how-tos, 10 step guide... etc...  You could create real course as a bonus...

 

Just wrap something around your product that has a huge value... Otherwise your product will stay average and it won't be different from any one else...

 

Lesson learned. :)

 

Of course, I loved the advice and right away wanted to share it with you.

A few years ago Perry Belcher explained one concept that was so revolutionary.
 

STATUS is the deal breaker. It's either people go into business with you or somebody else…
 

Status is the only thing that makes people move toward you or not move at all..
 

When somebody is presented with any opportunity, there's only 1 thing that runs through their mind: Is this thing I'm trying to get going to increase my status or decrease it?


It's funny but silly things like "what school did you go to?" and "what car do you drive" and "what neighborhood do you live in" can make a huge difference in your decision.


Whether you know it or not but you do all of these things unconsciously! Sometimes you don't want a better car, but you want something else that can make your status higher…

 

 

Status doesn't have to be materialistic at all but definitely could be… Status can affect your appearance, happiness,  power, money or some kind of gain… 


For example: flat stomach, amazing body, great memory, etc…

After all we have had it in us for thousands of years…

We always were drawn to the advantage of status. It's almost like having a VIP pass which would allow you to have advantage over anyone…
 

If your customer says : "yes, this will increase my status" they will gladly give you the money to get it.
 

But if they customer thinks: "oh, I don't want to try this thing, what if it doesn't work and I will look like a fool"
 

Take MLM(multi-level marketing) for example, when you offer someone to get into an MLM opportunity they will feel like a fool because of a bad name MLM got over the years… 


Many people don't want to be laughed at by their family and friends, which would decrease their STATUS… so they rather say: "NO!"


By the way, it's easier to create a new opportunity instead of fixing an old one. People are open the NEWER things all the time…

 

I hope you starting to see this. 


So do you want more sales? Get their status up... Status is king!
